Visit my blog to see three years of craft ideas. I also use my craft to raise funds for charity mainly Medicine sans Frontier at www.etsy.com. I am qualified in Person Centred Art Therapy and have taught silk painting for many years. Lately I have used one of my craft projects to inspire me to write children's books. I Can Do It! Book
Book to teach children how to manage clothes
I was lucky to find a printed material with letters on and used these to make the cover.
I trawled the charity shops, and I found:
- A linen tablecloth
- several pretty clothes size 2 years.
I zig zagged the clothes onto the sheet and made pages for the book
For the cover I made a front and a back and inserted mount board to stiffen it.

Doll family for Doll's House
These little figures are made from pipe cleaners.
Use a bead for the head and paint on hair and face. ( Use a pipe cleaner and some oasis to hold them in position as you paint.)
Fold a long pipe cleaner in half and put folded end into the bead head. Twist for body and use smaller beads for feet.
Insert a smaller piece of pipecleaner for arms.
Use smaller pipe cleaners for children.
Dress with odd scraps of fabric.
