This is a really useful patter for a baby's teddy bear and I have made them as gifts for two expectant friends. The legs and arms are weighted and they can be made from one fat quarter. and a little piece of felt for the face and paws. contact me for the nam,e of the pattern or I can make one by request. lesiurelearners@gmail.com

Pretty Sketch book
Using a silk painting as a base, I have placed this onto felt and free hand machine embroidered to give on all over pattern. Then I have couched down some remnant lace, some ribbon and some sheers. I have cut out a white piece of material for the leaf and appliqued that on and I then hand embroidered and added some sequins.
To finish I squared the material to decorate a sketch book and zig zagged the edges. I then stuck down the material onto the cover with PVA.
Two bags
To make the heart for this bag: Use four different but colour conscious designs of material. Draw a template of a heart and cut it into four regular parts. Using bondaweb reassemble the heart shape and machine zig zag to applique. Using the four different deigns of material I have used log cabin around the outside of the square.
Machine embroidery onto a silk painting - A Purse
Using a silk painting backed with felt I have free machined embroidered a random patter . then using various other materials I have appliqued these on top of the silk painting with further free machine embroidery.
I then applied this to a piece of pelmet vilene with bonda wed and similarly to the lining. putting the two together wrong sides together I folded them into a purse shape and zig zagged around the edges this is best done at least two times. I finished the purse with a bead a plastic fastening.
